"There comes a point in your life, when you’re officially an adult. Suddenly, you’re old enough to vote, drink and engage in other adult activities. Suddenly, people expect you to be responsible, serious, a grown-up. We get taller, we get older. But do we ever really grow up?"

BEEEEER Fest!
Stef got us really excited about Beer Fest (since she's the only one that went before) and so, we were all hyped up for it. Like I mean, seriously, what can be bad about all you can drink beer and all you can eat food? Nothing. Nothing at all. It really ranks up there as one of the most fun things that I've done even though the entire day/night was a blur.
We headed up to SF in the afternoon to check-in to a hotel in the Marina area. We walked around, ate at Amici's, and just hung out till around 6ish. That's when we headed over to Fort Mason and waited outside of a big hanger/warehouse for beer and food. The doors opened at 7 and from that point on, I was either drinking or eating or both at the same time. Attractive, huh? Yeah, I thought so. I'd name off some beers that I had, but I honestly can't remember what was what. I did have some of the fancy Chimay though... and I'm pretty sure it was good.
Afterwards, we took a limo (how this was negotiated is beyond me) to Gravity, a nice bar/lounge in the Marina area. I don't remember much from this point on. I was told that I had two more drinks (probably rum and Coke) plus a BEER. Who drinks beer after having all the beer that you can possibly drink? Clearly, I was not in the best state of mind. But, it's okay because I don't remember. I also passed out at Johnny Rocket's when everyone was drunk eating, but still managed to walk back to the hotel. Am I awesome or what? Not to mention I wasn't even hungover the next morning!!! Ohhh yeah.
I can't wait to go again next year. You in?

Be Chill
I spent Friday night with Christina and Pam --- had dinner at Banyan Tree in Union City. We <3 the roti there. Yummm and the fried bananas were delish also! We tried to go to the famous and much talked about Panera Bakery afterwards, but it was closed. I'm still curious what all the fuss is about. It looks like any ol' bakery. I guess I will never know? Anyways, I got home early and just crawled straight into bed. Fell asleep shortly as I watched Thursday's episode of Grey's. I'm having second thoughts about my hatred of Izzie. I kinda like her now. Cringe.
I slept in Saturday morning and then went with Christy to her friend's baby shower. It was super fun. We played baby shower games and I lost every single one of them!!! Haha. It made me realize that I am waaay too immature to be a parent. I should probably wait 10 years or so. Yes, you heard me. I'm not having kids till I'm at least 30. Leave me alone. Afterwards, I took Christy to Sushi House! An old Berkeley Gang favorite! It was 4:30ish and still crowded!!! We had the bento box with salmon teriyaki and tonkatsu and tempura and that breaded (fried) mashed potato thingy that I love. Plus we also got the California roll with unagi on top. After the biggest meal ever, we headed over to Emery Bay and got our shop on. I bought some stuff from H&M which I actually love and won't return! Woot! I was feeling spontaneous because then I followed Christy home to her apartment, where we mooched and watched random movies on TV. Christy made me an egg and cheese sandwich! Hehe. That's not all folks. We did go out (we're not losers, geez!) --- met up with some peeps at Rosewood (near North Beach/Chinatown). It was a hipster bar, which I can dig. We didn't stay for that long and I headed back to the farm not too late.
I slept in again on Sunday. I only got up to have lunch with some family friends who were visiting. Didn't really do much else, except I baked cookies. CHOCOLATE CHIP cookies. They didn't turn out bad --- I already ate half of them. I'm serious. My mom had to hide them from me so that I wouldn't eat anymore. Go me. Ugh. This is such a sign that I should hit the gym. Maybe this week will be the week that I change my entire lifestyle to include a strict diet and exercise regiment. And when I say maybe, that means most likely not...
Well, have a good Monday! I just noticed that every once in a while, I write a real post (like this one) instead of just random cryptic statements. Haha. Keeps it interesting, no? This is for you, (mf) Brian.

Another Week???
Anyways, on to the juicier stuff... which I don't have any to share. Hmmm... seems like everybody is getting bikini ready except me. I went to the gym ONCE this past week. I'm so very out of shape that I can't even complain about it. Then again, that makes me wonder if I have ever been in shape. The answer to that is no. Is now as good a time as any to start? Probably. I'll start after I eat this brownie. Yum.

Randomness
I guess that really sums up this week though. Just random. Good? Bad? Who knows? Only time will tell.

Time Flies...
Ok. It's just been one of those weeks. Actually, I've been having a lot of those weeks lately. And I can't help that I'm taking it out on my blog. That's what these things are here for. Duh. Well, it's all good. Today is Friday, the 13th. What can go wrong?

Weekend Update
Well, enough of the misery bullshit. Let's move on to more important things... like what I did this weekend. Friday night --- we sent Ty off to Asia with an A.P.T. party at Christy's. Note: A.P.T. doesn't stand for anything, it's a cooler way of saying apartment, ok? I know. I asked the same question. This name was created by the host herself. You can't argue with that. Catch my drift? And what a party it was. Let's just say after 2 Costco pizzas, a tub of chicken wings, and upwards the double digits in cranberry vodkas, we were beyond partied out. We did more than just eat and drink, ok? We played Karaoke Revolution (Country edition at that) and American Idol. The highlight of the night was Christy rapping the part of Nelly in Dilemma. Hilarity. Ok, that or Brian singing, period.
Saturday night was a bit more tame. By tame, I really mean crazier. I spent the day resting and relaxing --- the things that weekends are supposed to be for. Duh. I was quite tempted to call it a night and just stay in. But, of course, that did not happen. Some brief highlights: Went out to the city with Christina and Pam. Somehow ended up at the worst party ever. Drank a bunch to compensate. Was unsuccessful. Wanted to go home. Found Christina's passenger-side window smashed in, along with smears of BLOOD on the seat. Disgusting. All that was stolen was Christina's cell phone. So, the silver lining to that dark cloud is that we're all safe and sound and somewhere some loser's arm is all cut up (possibly infected --- karma!) from trying to steal a car.
Finally, Sunday was tame (true to the definition). I woke up bright and early for church with my parents. Then we proceeded to have lunch and traveled down to Santana Row afterwards. We didn't realize that Easter meant all the stores (and Valley Fair) would be closed. Whatever. Instead, we spent the afternoon outdoors, enjoying the sun and walking around. We had an early dinner at Mayflower in Union City for my dad's birthday. I ate sooo much. We even ate those Chinese birthday buns, you know, the ones that look like pink butts. All in all, good wholesome fun to cap the weekend off.
