"There comes a point in your life, when you’re officially an adult. Suddenly, you’re old enough to vote, drink and engage in other adult activities. Suddenly, people expect you to be responsible, serious, a grown-up. We get taller, we get older. But do we ever really grow up?"

Oh Vegas
I was in Vegas this past weekend (and part of last week too... haha) and, of course, it was awesome. Well, I didn't eat or shop as much as I wanted, but I definitely partied enough to keep me away from the clubs for the rest of summer. I don't remember enough to go that much in to detail, but here are a few highlights:
Hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend as well.
- Sweltering heat every day! We sat by the pool 2 days in a row and now I am tan, or I should really say dark. I'm not golden like I wanted to be, but just dark... like a piece of coal.
- Oh, speaking of which, I got a new bathing suit that I absolutely love. It's black with white polka dots. Adorable!!!
- We only ate buffet once! And it was at Treasure Island. The mini-donuts were delish. Yum. I want one now. Who am I kidding? I'll take a dozen.
- Cirque de Soleil is sooo amazing. I saw "O" last time, so we saw "Ka" (at MGM) this time. I definitely recommend it. It's different, so you can actually see both in one trip! Instead of revolving around water and more mellow acrobatics in "O", it's more martial artsy and has FIRE (and explosions!). Oooh...
- And how can I forget the clubs??? Tangerine on Thursday. Pure on Friday. And Tao on Saturday. I said I partied, no?
- Tangerine was dumb. Don't go. Ever.
- The only word to describe Friday night at Pure is random. First, we ran into Berkeley people that I recognized... and they got us in! Next, I made friends with some girls that I met in line and ended up hanging out with them... all night. Strange, I know.
- Tao was suuuper nice, but suuuper crowded everywhere, even in the hallways and staircases. It took us like 30 minutes to leave. Kanye West performed stuff from his new album and I was there! Front and center! But, I was almost trampled to death. SERIOUSLY. The sacrifices we make... sigh.
- I finally met up with WILLIAM HUEY. And we had good ol' drunken fun. Will won us $400 in 3-5-7 Poker and split the winnings with me. Then he bet his share and lost it all. I kept mine and bought him breakfast. Haha.
Hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend as well.

Slide Sucks
Another weekend jam-packed with excitement... NOT. You know how I mentioned in a few posts back that I spent my weekend doing one of four things? Well, let's just say that is true for most of my weekends and this one was not an exception.
I spent my Friday evening AT WORK in a panic because that is usually when I come to the realization that I really didn't do enough during the week and I scramble to get my shizz done. I used my wily charm and persuasive skills to lure George out of hiding, errr... I mean studying for the MCATS (good luck this Wed, Geo!!!). By that time, it was practically 9pm --- yes, my charm and skills need working on. We ended up at the usual Castro St. hangouts, meeting up with some Googlers (and strange people), and chilling the rest of the night. Conclusion: Mountain View on Friday nights are actually good fun, especially with drunk engineers who dance to techno beats.
It was really windy on Saturday and this meant that I stayed indoors. Haha. No correlation, I know. I watched last Thursday's episode of Grey's, which I thought was darn good. I have a deep love for Izzie now when just last year, I was spewing obscenities at my TV because I hated her. This really goes to say that I cannot and should not be making any long-term decisions anytime soon as my mind changes more often that Britney Spears' wigs. Bleh. Well, I also got caught up with Ugly Betty! I don't care if it's a teenybopper show, I like it and I do what I want! I love ABC and its episodes online for providing me such entertainment on a windy Saturday.
Moving on... Saturday night, I met up with Stef and we headed up to the city with Young and Jen (!!!). It was Stef's friend's birthday and she was having a soiree at Slide, the mysterious door/club next to Ruby Skye. Christy met up with us too!!! Yaaay!!! Too bad Slide is a stupid place that doesn't let guys in unless they are with equal ratio of girls. Stef went through all this trouble to make sure enough of our girl friends were going so that our guy friends could also go. And what happens? The bouncer at Slide tells us there is a "private party" and no one can get in unless we buy a table, which means spending approx. $600 on two bottles of alcohol that you can get at Safeway for like $20. Poor planning or does Slide suck? I'd go with the latter, hence the title of this post. Although, I'd still like to get in one of these days just go down the slide.
Somehow, we made our way to North Beach. And long story short, we were at DragonBar for a little while and then went to the old Velvet Lounge/now I don't remember what it's called, but it has numbers in it. Dancing was fun and because of the company (awww...), the night wasn't so bad even with all the unnecessary trouble it took to finally get us all to a bar/club. The end. Oh, mental note, Jen throws food at people.
Well, now it's Sunday. And Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day, Mom!!! Stay away, stupid Lany!!! I'm taking her to brunch!!!

Is Readership a Word?
I really admire people who post every day. I post like every 4-5 days and I find it exhausting (and time-consuming) to think of new topics to discuss. Perhaps it's because I live a seriously boring life. I really don't think that's the case --- in fact, I have so much drama that I'd like to take a vacation from being myself. So I'm going to attribute the boringness of this blog to the fact that I'm just not ready (or willing) to expose my true self to strangers on the web. Having said that, if I don't actually know you and you read this blog... it may be construed as creepy (you stalker), but I also really appreciate your readership. Thank you. And sorry if you're bored.
Anyways, let's move on. How about them Warriors??? Yeah, I don't actually know what I'm talking about, but everybody else is really excited about it so I thought I'd throw that out there. I actually watched part of the game on Tuesday. Other than that, I haven't had time to get caught up on sports. I hear that the game is on tonight. And the only reason I know that is because people are going to the bar after work today. I usually just go to drink. Haha. But, go Warriors!
What else is going on? Hmmm... I guess it's CINCO DE MAYO this weekend. You know, the cool holiday where you get to hit pinatas with a big stick/bat. Awesome. I could really use an outlet for some of my aggressions. Any takers? Haha... jk or am I? In all seriousness though, work and life have both been extremely stressful these past couple days, weeks, months (???) and I could really use a weekend where I can beat things and not feel bad about it afterwards. That and the biggest margarita ever would be nice.
Hey... it's almost Friday!
