How did you celebrate?
Chris took me to the California Academy of Sciences, which I've been dying to visit since it reopened. It was pretty fantastic, except that Claude, the famous albino alligator was out "sick". Besides being utterly too crowded, I had a good time exploring the exhibits and learning about rainforests, aquatic animals, and other science-y things. My favorite was the blue whale fossil (although it wasn't quite as impressive as the blue whale replica at the Natural History Museum in the NYC) and I learned a thing or two about the history of life on Earth. We had lunch at the Academy Cafe, which turned out to be quite tasty. It wasn't your average amusement park food, but made-to-order goodies. At night, Chris took me to One Market... a Michelin ONE STAR restaurant. Haha. He's attempting to eat as many Michelin recommended restaurants as possible. The food was good... nothing spectacular like Michael Mina though. ;) My stomach wasn't feeling well, so I don't have detailed reviews this time. Because of that plus the rain, we just called it a night after that. All in all, a pretty good Valentine's Day.
