I FINALLY WATCHED TRANSFORMERS AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!
Ok, let's talk about the important stuff first... like what I did this weekend, duh. Friday, I went to Sarah's birthday dinner at a restaurant in Menlo Park called Shiok. It was good Singaporean/Malaysian (?) food. We ordered my favorite, Roti Canai, which is really just flatbread and dipping it in a curry sauce. Yum. They also had cute drinks, like sparking wine with lychee, but I didn't drink (shocking, I know). I'll have to try that next time. The restaurant was good enough that I'd go back. On Saturday, we decided to celebrate Pam's birthday (early) by taking her shopping at Valley Fair and Santana Row! Unfortunately, she had a bad shopping day and didn't end up buying anything. Haha. Ironic. But, we did have a nice early dinner at E&O Trading (the same restaurant we went to for George's birthday) and ate a ton! Not to mention that I basically finished off more than half a bottle of champagne since neither Christine nor Pam drink that much. All in all, it was another successful celebration for Pam. Awww...
Now, dun dun DUN! On Sunday, I finally saw Transformers! I thought it totally lived up to the hype. I mean, the visual effects were keeerazy! They made transforming cool. I loved Optimus Prime, Bumblebee (yes, I know he was an ugly VW Beetle in the cartoons), and SHIA LABEOUF!!! When did alien robots and Shia (little Even Stevens from the Disney channel) become so sexy??? Haha...no worries, Christy. He's yours. I have Justin Long.
I am loving summer movie season. Next up... Harry Potter, which comes out tomorrow... errr, tonight! I was really tempted to go to the midnight showing... just to see if anyone dresses up in costume. I mean, if people dress up for X-Men or Star Wars, I'm sure there are people out there that want to dress up as Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. I mean, what could be more awesome?
