A Week and a Weekend Later...

It's really hard to remember to update your blog. And I know my readers care a lot about my many misadventures.

Let me see... last Monday, I went to my first Giants game this season (and I believe, my second Giants game of all time). And it was so exciting that Barry Bonds didn't hit a home run. Awesome. Haha. I kid. I had fun. We took CalTrain up and it wasn't as cold as I expected. Giants lost, but hanging out at the Park made up for it. Then, last Wednesday, I went to Dave & Buster's with Stef, Jason, and Young. I forgot how much fun it was. I beat Young in almost every game that we played. Because of that, it's apparent that Ci > Young. Always.

Now for the weekend... Friday was Google's annual Summer Picnic, which turned out to be a huge event! Lots of all-you-can-eat and free food with beer and margaritas plus a ferris wheel and Google Idol! It was nice to take an afternoon off and relax in the sun. On Saturday, I woke up at 6am to volunteer for Relay for Life in Castro Valley. It was really laid-back this year, so I had time to finish Harry Potter! Best book in the series btw. But, I got sunburned on my ears, hairline, and arms. Grossness times 100. I'm just about flaking dead skin now. Ugh. I guess that can be considered to be tmi? Then, on Sunday, I went out to see the SF Marathon-ers. Too bad Stef finished so early that we missed her at the finish line!!! It was amazing to see all these people that voluntarily ran 13.1 or 26.2 miles. Definitely a feat to be proud of... and they all got medals! Funny how everyone I asked said they'd never run it ever again... Stef was so sick that she didn't even have lunch with us! We went to Yank Sing and feasted on delicate dim sum. I had 2 (or less) Tsingtaos and was so tired afterwards that I sacrificed shopping to go home. I took a 2 hour nap and woke up with a headache. THAT is the definition of aging... being hungover after 2 beers. Ridiculous. Went out later that night and saw The Simpsons movie. It was surprisingly upbeat and entertaining. I am not a huge Simpsons fan, but liked all the political undertones hidden in each scene. Two thumbs up.

There you have it. A detailed and dull update of my weekly happenings. Have a better week and happy August!
